First Assist

Hunterdon Helpline began as a teen hotline and evolved into an information and referral service. From there, Helpline expanded its services to not only provide residents with the information they need, but with programs and services that address their physical and mental well-being, their community access needs and linkages to other organizations offering related services.

Our Community Resource Specialists begin with an intake to determine what your need is before directing you to its programs and services or that of other organization, county, state or federal programs. When necessary, our Licensed Clinical Social Worker can provide more in-depth case management to ensure you receive appropriate information and services. Our goal is to provide our clients with a holistic solution not just for the short term, but for the future.

First Assist is your first call for help. Whatever your need…whenever you need it…

Real help, right away, 24/7.
It’s not just a phone number.
The Hunterdon County Board of Chosen Freeholders, along with corporate, foundation and individual support, contribute to the funding of this service.
